(Update the balance of dead)
Islamabad, May 7 (EFE) .- Pakistan denounced the death of two people in the air attack perpetrated by India past midnight on Wednesday, which according to Islamabad hit several civil positions.
“A woman and a child died because of the missiles fired by India,” said information minister controlled by Pakistan, Muhammad Mazhar Saeed Shah.
According to the statement, the attack affected the towns of Muzampharabad and Kotli in this region, inhabited by civilians.
A Pakistani security officer told Efe that missiles reached the city of Bahawalpur, located in the province of Punjab, bordering India.
Another statement from the Security Forces assured that all the Pakistani Air Force aircraft are in good condition, and I assure that the Pakistani armed forces are responding to the aggression.
India announced to have attacked alleged terrorist camps in Pakistan last midnight on Wednesday, in retaliation for the terrorist attack in the Kashmir controlled by India last April 22, for which New Delhi holds Islamabad.
The so -called Sndoor operation included precision attacks against nine places in Pakistan where, according to New Delhi, terrorist attacks against India were planned.
However, India said in a statement issued by the Ministry of defense that the bombardment had omitted Pakistani military facilities, therefore the alleged insurgent camps.
The attack on the Indian Kashmiro gave way to an escalation of tension between both nuclear powers that included several measures, such as the expulsion of diplomats, the revocation of visas or the closure of the Earth’s border.
India indicated from the beginning that it would retaliate for the attack, while Pakistan said that he would not begin a conflict, but that in case of being attacked, he was prepared to respond.
Both countries have already been plunged into a similar confrontation in 2019, after another attack on the Indian Kashmir that resulted in the death of 40 Indian paramilitaries.
Then, India bombarded alleged insurgent bases in Pakistan, to which Islamabad responded by bombing isolated areas in India, which culminated the climb of tensions.
India announced on Wednesday defense drills – to prepare a possible hostile attack – in several states.
