Despite the exit of the exchange rate and the administered flotation scheme of the dollar implemented by the National Government, the values ​​of the cars are stable and there were even some merchants who had to ride prices, according to the sector’s referents in the city.

From the heading of the automotive sale, they pointed out that, after the reigning uncertainty during the first days without stocks- and after almost 14 uninterrupted years with different restrictions applied in the market for the sale and purchase of dollars- those merchants who advanced and increased prices as a precaution were then retracted due to the decrease in the official dollar.

“The values ​​(of the vehicles) are the same. In principle it was thought that everything was going to the clouds, but he who went to the clouds, did not sell, then he had to ride prices,” said Omar García, head of Garbat Automotores, to the multimedia echo.

The merchant with 44 years of experience in the activity also said that “there were people who doubted and people who stopped doing the operation” who had planned, and attributed this fact to “many years accustomed” to restrictions and changes in the price of the US currency.
