Former Ballet Azul anticipates problem in training

University of Chile prepares to face Copperloa with a possible change in the starting eleven. In the last training sessions, Gustavo Álvarez removed Emmanuel Ojeda from the starting team to give space to Federico Mateos. Given this modification, a Ballet Azul historian warned of a possible problem.

For Francisco Las Heras, this change will cause complications for the U’s midfield. The reason? In conversation with Bolavip, assured that the starting team does not have a defensive midfielder to replace Cobreloa’s attacks. He assured that Marcelo Diaz cannot fulfill this role.

“I don’t know if Mateos is fit to be a starter. He should start little by little to join the team. I think that Ojeda is not in the position that best suits him, he is almost at right back. “I don’t like it very much there,” he began by indicating.

“There will be too much work for Israel Poblete. He will be the only containment, because Marcelo Díaz is not a player who takes away many balls or recovers them. He does not have the conditions to fulfill this function, he is the man of the exit. In terms of recovering balls, Ojeda and Poblete are the ones who could do better in that midfield,” he added.

The imminent change of the University of Chile

With what formation would the University of Chile face Cobreloa? It is not yet confirmed, but Federico Mateos adds bonuses to start as a starter. This would leave out Emmanuel Ojeda, who had recently been part of the defense despite being a midfielder.

This would imply that the U returns to playing with four defenders. These would be Fabián Hormazábal, Matías Zaldivia, Franco Calderón and Marcelo Morales. Meanwhile, the midfield would be made up of Marcelo Díaz and Israel Poblete, Federico Mateos.

When does the U play?

The match between the U and Cobreloa will be played on Sunday, March 31, from 6:00 p.m., at the Zorros del Desierto Stadium. It will be valid for the sixth date of the local tournament.
