First departure confirmed at Atlético Nacional: ‘Thank you and success’

The purslane club finishes its round-robin phase and there is already a way out.

Atlético Nacional did not have its best semester and after the early elimination of Libertadores, plus that of the BetPlay League, the purslane began to make important changes at the institutional level, but now, they have started restructuring the team.

Coach Pablo Repetto will continue with his project and will not have some players for the next tournament, although there is already one exit that is more than certain, such as that of Paraguayan goalkeeper Santiago ‘Kili’ Rojas.

Goalkeeping coach René Higuita announced the non-continuity of Rojas through a publication on Instagram, whom he thanked for having been in the club and wished him success.

“Santiago Rojas, excellent professional, excellent goalkeeper. A great human being. Thank you so much. Successes,” said René Higuita.

Although the club has not reported the Paraguayan’s departure, everything seems to indicate that it will be announced once the club’s participation in the League ends.

In addition, Repetto always put Harlen ‘Chipi Chipi’ Castillo above him, who ended up winning the position since the Uruguayan took the reins of the team.

So far in 2024, Santiago Rojas has played only 5 games, his last game with the purslane shirt being against Nacional of Paraguay in Libertadores.
