In the last few hours, the possibility emerged that Emelec coach Hernán Torres would coach Deportivo Cali, despite the fact that the strategist made it clear that he was comfortable with the Ecuadorian team, but that information was denied by the sugar producers in a statement.
Although Cali did not give details of the technicians who would join the professional team, he did not rule out the arrival of Torres, making it clear that they are still analyzing different resumes.
“To date, Deportivo Cali has not defined the name of the technical director of the men’s professional team. Currently, our executive committee is reviewing the resumes and professional profile of its candidates.”
Likewise, Cali revealed that the chosen one will be a coach who adapts to the needs of the club and when they have the final decision, it will be officially announced.
Despite this, Hernán Torres remains one of the candidates, but the Emelec coach has not made a final decision on the offer, since he has a contract with his current team and has the option of renewing his contract on the table.
Currently, Torres has managed to direct 33 games between Liga Pro and Sudamericana, while in the current season in the local tournament his team is fifth with 20 points.
