LOS ANGELES — Yoshinobu Yamamoto pitched eight effective innings, Max Muncy hit a grand slam in the first and the Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Miami Marlins 8-2 on Tuesday for their sixth win.
Gavin Lux hit his first home run of the season for Los Angeles, which has won 13 of its last 15 games. The Dodgers have 14 home runs in their last four games.
Yamamoto (4-1) overcame his first-pitch home run to win his third straight start.
The Japanese rookie, who came to the majors through a deal worth $325 million, allowed two runs and five hits. He had his longest performance in the Major Leagues.
Jazz Chisholm Jr. hit a home run to open the game for Miami, which nevertheless fell to 1-4 on its six-game road trip. Dominican Bryan de la Cruz also hit a home run.
