Kylian Mbappé will leave Paris Saint-Germain without having achieved the club’s highest goal: winning the Champions League. The French striker participated in seven editions of the tournament with the French capital club’s shirt.
This Tuesday, PSG lost at home 0-1 against Borussia Dortmund and was eliminated again, this time in the semifinals. He could not reverse the defeat by the same score at the Signal Iduna Park in Dortmund.
Now, the team focuses on the French Cup final, in which it will face Lyon on May 25 in Lille, in what could be Mbappé’s last title with the Paris Saint-Germain shirt. Furthermore, they have already mathematically secured the crown in Ligue 1.

“We are very disappointed because we wanted to qualify, but in the Champions League you have to be effective in the areas and in that they have been better than us,” said Mbappé in the mixed zone.

Mbappé acknowledged that they did not do enough to qualify. “There was no excess of confidence. The group was calm. That’s football, we haven’t put in all the ingredients that needed to be put in place to get to the final,” he resigned.
What will be Mbappé’s future?
When asked if he will support Real Madrid in the other Champions League semi-final, this Friday, against Bayern Munich, Mbappé barely made a disapproving face before leaving the venue.
