University of Chile must solve a complex problem. In the run-up to the duel against Unión La Calera, the blue team remains in doubt as to who will be the left back. They will not have Marcelo Morales due to suspension and José Castro has not yet recovered from his injury. Who will play? A club official is clear about it.
For Roberto Reynero, the ideal candidate to replace these names is Ignacio Tapia. In conversation with Bolavip Chile, the former soccer player assured that Gustavo Álvarez must use a player who handles the left wing. Given this, he expressed suspicion about the possibility of a right-hander using such a position.
“He may play with three in a baseline. I would like to see (José) Castro, but it is complicated. A left-handed player would have to be on that side, to handle the situation on that side,” the captain of the University of Chile began by indicating in 1989.
“A (Ignacio) Tapia can be. (Renato) Cordero is not going to feel the band to project himself or there would have to be great synchronization of the entire defense. I get the impression that Tapia can replace him,” added the former U defender.
The big problem of the University of Chile
As Roberto Reynero indicates, the situation of José Castro is worrying at the U. The 21-year-old full-back has not trained normally and is in doubt for the match against Unión La Calera. He suffers from a grade 2 sprain in his right ankle since the match against Huachipato.
With this, Gustavo Álvarez must decide who will use his position. Will it be Ignacio Tapia? Will he improvise in the left sector? There are still three training sessions left for the coach to decide who will take the field. For now, the presence of Pepe Castro is not ruled out.
When does the U play?
The match between Universidad de Chile and Unión La Calera will be played on Monday, May 13. It will be from 7:00 p.m. at the Nicolás Chahuán Nazar Stadium.
