SAN FRANCISCO — Puerto Rican Heliot Ramos hit his second home run in the majors and the San Francisco Giants defeated the Colorado Rockies 4-1 on Sunday for their first series sweep of the season.

Hicks (4-1) allowed one run and three hits in five walkless innings as the Giants extended their longest winning streak of the season to four.

Sean Hjelle, Luke Jackson, Taylor Rogers and Camilo Doval each pitched a scoreless inning to complete the three-hit effort. Doval struck out Jake Cave for the final out and was perfect in eight save opportunities.

Ramos homered in the sixth against Victor Vodnik. His other home run in the majors came on August 12 against Brock Burke of Texas.

Ryan McMahon homered in the first inning for the Rockies, who lost their eighth straight game at Oracle Park. Colorado came in with seven straight wins, its longest streak since 2019, but went 6-19 on the road.

Rockies starter Dakota Hudson (1-7) allowed three runs, two earned, with five hits in 4 2/3 innings.

For the Giants, Dominican Marco Luciano went 1 for 3 with one run scored. Puerto Rican Heliot Ramos was 1 for 4 with one run scored and one RBI. Venezuelan Thairo Estrada 0-for-4 with one scored.
