Sources revealed to ESPN that Halliburton suffered a hamstring strain and will be out for Game 3.

The All-NBA point guard of the Indiana Pacers Tyrese Haliburton ruled out for Game 3 of Eastern Conference finals against Boston Celtics this Saturday night due to a hamstring strain and his availability for Game 4 on Monday is in serious doubt, sources revealed to ESPN.

The Pacers, Haliburton to re-evaluate injury before Game 4 before making final decision about his ability to play, sources added.

Boston leads the best-of-seven series, 2-0 and Haliburton’s loss takes on great importance for the Pacers’ chances of returning to this series.

Haliburton, who missed 10 games in January with the same injury, aggravated the hamstring in Thursday’s Game 2 loss to the Celtics in Boston.

Haliburton averaged 20.1 points and a league-leading 10.9 assists in a regular season that earned him second-team All-NBA honors. The Pacers are plus-59 with Haliburton on the court this season and minus-35 without him, according to research by ESPN Stats and Information.
