Many were taken by surprise by the announcement of Win Sports, where he made it known that Javier Fernández Franco, better known as the Gol Singer, would not continue on the channel after five years being the main voice for Colombian soccer broadcasts.
The journalist himself showed that he was taken off base and in new statements he assured that heor they cheated at the meeting in which they were going to fire him and after the fact he made it clear that it was without just cause.
Gol Singer revealed that Win Sports deceived him when he was fired and predicted the future of the channel:
First of all, the rapporteur said that he was as surprised as many people related to the FPC, who called him to ask what had happened:
“That same day, I don’t know how they found out, on Wednesday the 29th, in the evening, I received many calls from people linked to football, directors, club presidents, really surprised by the news and I also told them that I was also “I was surprised.”
Subsequently, Fernández Franco revealed that the meeting where they gave him the dismissal letter was originally for the purpose of organizing times regarding the events:
“They call me to a meeting where we are going to talk about programming, but I end up arriving alone at an office and it turns out that the programming meeting was just for me. Then they gave me the news.”
Finally, the former Gol Caracol narrator confessed that he had never been fired, and since it was without just cause, he believes that it is related to a structural change in the channel, since in the not too distant future they will surely seek to have more programs than match broadcasts:
“It is the first time in 41 years that I have been in the profession that they have sent me a letter and also without justification, because the letter clearly says that there is no justification for me to leave Win, but that they still want me not to be there for a while. programming issue, because they are going to do a restructuring, because surely the channel is going to have many more programs than football, I don’t know, that’s what I can understand basically, but I always told them that many successes, that I hope everything improves, many “Things will have to improve, it is a logical thing in all companies.”
