It already takes on teleserye overtones. The drama that the departure of Luciano Cabral of Coquimbo Kingdom continues to give something to talk about. The player, who was wanted by teams such as the University of Chile and Colo Colo, was sold to Grupo Pachuca.
Coquimbo’s idea was the following: sell Cabral only to the foreign market. In this way, not only was it avoided encountering it as competition for the second semester, but it was also exposed to greater visibility.
This idea of the Pirates immediately ruled out Colo Colo and the U as possible suitors to acquire the services of the Chilean-Argentine. However, there was a dramatic twist that added even more spice to this story.
It turns out that, although it was Grupo Pachuca that got the pass, since they own several clubs, they could put it in whichever they wanted. Result? Everton de Viña del Mar will be the player’s next team (the only club of the conglomerate in Chile), which would contradict Coquimbán’s claims.
What did Coquimbo Kingdom do about it?
In the Fourth Region this situation was not liked at all. The pirate sports manager, Pablo Ramírez, had made it very clear during the week and his words seem to have little weight after what happened.
“We are not going to accept an offer from a Chilean club for Luciano to play in the second semester, because it obviously damages the general interests of Coquimbo,” said the sports manager.
What is the new chapter in this story? Well, ADN Deportes delivered it, pointing out that Coquimbo Unidos is preparing a lawsuit against Everton for the Pachuca Group’s interpretation of the agreement.
It should be noted that, after six months in Viña del Mar, it has been agreed to remove the player from national soccer, possibly heading to Mexico. Although, the way things are going, anything can happen.
