The Premier League announced the fixture for the 2024-25 season on Tuesday and Manchester City, defending champions, will begin their title defense at Stamford Bridge against Chelseain which it will be Enzo Maresca’s first game at the London club.
The first classic between the two best teams in the competition, Manchester City and Arsenal will take place on September 21 at the Etihad Stadiumwith the return defined for February 1.
Manchester United
will visit City on December 14 and on April 5 they will meet at Old Trafford, while United will travel to Anfield to face the Liverpool on January 4, after receiving it in the third game of the campaign on August 31.
United will be home against Fulham on August 16, a Friday, which will mean the first match of the Premier League season.
The campaign of Arne Slot, Jurgen Klopp’s replacement at Liverpoolwill begin with a trip to Portman Road to face Ipswich, who will return to the Premier League after being relegated in 2002.
The first outing of the campaign for Kieran McKenna’s side will not be easy, as they will play at the Etihad on August 24.
The promoted Leicester City and Southampton will begin their seasons against Tottenham Hotspurlocal, and Newcastle UnitedEditas a visitor, respectively.
Guardiola’s City seeks to achieve its fifth championship title in 2024-25 after winning the League in six of the last seven seasons.
Arsenal’s Mikel Arteta, meanwhile, is seeking his first championship since the 2003-04 season.
