Atlético Nacional achieved a 3-1 victory against Sporting Cristal, marking a good start in its preparation for the semester. Goals from Jhojan Amaya, Kevin Parra and Pablo Ceppelini sealed the victory of the green club in a disputed match that left good feelings for those led by Pablo Reppeto’s coaching staff.

Nacional took to the field with the following lineup: Harlen Castillo in goal; Andrés Román, Simón García, Felipe Aguirre and Samuel Velásquez in defense; Robert Mejía, Juan Manuel Zapata, Edwin Cardona in midfield, and Édier Ocampo, Kevin Parra and Jhojan Amaya in attack.

The purslane team showed a solid and well-organized game, standing out especially in the offensive aspect. Edwin Cardona was one of the most outstanding players, contributing both in attack and defense, demonstrating his versatility and commitment on the field. Plus he is in very good physical shape.

Jhojan Amaya was in charge of opening the scoring, exceptionally performing the attacking duties in the absence of a number 9. His ability to position himself in the area and his precision were key to giving Nacional the advantage.

Kevin Parra, meanwhile, was a constant threat on the left flank. In addition to scoring his team’s second goal, he showed great ability to dribble and pass in depth, contributing significantly to Nacional’s offensive play.

Juan Manuel Zapata also had a prominent role in the match. His physical display and ability to recover balls and distribute play were essential to maintaining balance in midfield.

Among the young talents, Simón García in defense and Jhohan Amaya in attack proved to be up to the challenge. García was confident and effective at the back, while Amaya, in addition to his goal, proved to be a viable option on the attacking front, more than making up for the lack of a center forward.

The Uruguayan Pablo Ceppelini entered and did not look out of place. It was he who put final figures of 3-1 on the scoreboard.

With this victory, Nacional advanced to the final of the Copa Ciudad de los Reyes, where they will face Bolívar de La Paz. Bolívar reached this stage after beating Alianza Lima 3-2 in an exciting match.

The final match of this friendly tournament will take place this Sunday, and Nacional will seek to be crowned champion to close with a flourish its participation in this preparatory competition.
