Carboni will arrive at River in what will be his fourth consecutive loan: After his arrival at Inter, Franco spent half a year on loan at Cagliaria club that was still active in the Italian Serie B, and then played in Monza (where he played four games, three in Serie A and one in the Italian Cup) and Ternana from the Italian second division. On this last scale he managed to have greater continuity: 21 games and one goal in a season that ended with the relegation of his team.

This will be the Franco’s second visit to Argentinasince the defender was trained in the Lanús youth teamsa club where his father worked as a coach in the lower divisions. However, his time at the Granate would not end on a happy note.

Ezequiel, his father, was hired as a coach for Catania’s reserve team, so the Carboni family had to move to Italy, where Franco and Valentin continued their football training. Franco had a brief stint at Catania and then Inter, a club for which he never played professionally, decided to sign him.
