This is how Iga Swiatek’s Wimbledon 2024 draw looks

Iga Swiatek has unfinished business as a professional tennis player. She has (almost) everything but not a Wimbledon. And 2024 could be her golden opportunity. The world number 1’s performances are considerably reduced on grass, but there are reasons to believe that, at some point, that will change.

According to the draw, the number one would avoid Aryna Sabalenka until the final but long before that there is a way to go. She has an a priori not easy debut against the American Sofia Kenin, winner of the 2020 Australian Open.

In the second match she would face the winner of Francesca Jones and Petra Martic; in the third with Yulia Putintseva, Angelique Kerber or Katerina Siniakova; and in the fourth with Caroline Garcia, Anna Blinkova, Alja Tomjlanovic or Jelena Ostapenko.

Already in the final stretch, the quarterfinals would be a nice test against Marketa Vondrousova, the defending champion.

And in instances you know well you could face Elena Rybakina (2022 champion in La Catedral) in the semifinals and Aryna Sabalenka or Coco Gauff in the final.
