Behind the Panama’s surprise victory over the United States in the Copa America 2024, The national team that plays at home reported that several of its players received racist insults via social media.
“We are aware of and deeply concerned by racist comments made online and directed at several of our players. “There is absolutely no place in the game for such hateful and discriminatory behavior,” the U.S. team said in an official statement.
“These actions are not only unacceptable but also contrary to the values of respect and inclusion that we defend as an organization. “We will continue to support our players,” added the North American team.

Conmebol reacted
