Christian Ledesma took the first 2 points in dispute on the 7th date of the 2024 Championship Road Tourism. The pilot of the Pradecon Racing was the fastest in the classification that took place at the racetrack in Rafaela and got the 1st “pole position” for the Chevrolet Camaro in the category.
The new generation cars also looked competitive on the demanding Santa Fe circuit, but this time it was not a Ford Mustang – a model that had already achieved two pole positions – but a Chevrolet Camaro. “We worked hard for a year and achieving the 1st pole position for a Camaro in the TC in our 7th race is very good. You have to enjoy this because we come from difficult times“, indicated Ledesma in Radio Champions.
The man from Mar del Plata obtained his 31st “pole position” in TC after marking a time of 1m23s109 and unseat from the top Jonathan Castellano (Dodge) for 0s205. “He escaped by very little, but it is important to remain competitive”said the pilot of the SAP Team after its best classification of the year and Dodge’s best, along with 2nd place in Facundo Chapur in Termas de Río Hondo.
Chevrolet got his 4th pole in the last 5 classifications in Rafaela (the exception occurred last October, with the Ford of Mariano Werner) and the 15th in history on the Santa Fe route, matching the “Oval” line. And if that was not enough, “Chivo” placed 4 of its drivers in the top 5 positions.
Diego Ciantini (Chevy of Canning Motorsports), which achieved 2 of the 4 “poles” that Chevrolet has in 2024, was 3rd at 0s324, ahead of Facundo Ardusso (Chevrolet), who in his 2nd race with the RV Racing recorded his second “top 5” of the year in classification, the same amount as Marcos Quijada (Camaro), which had just finished 3rd in Concepción del Uruguay.
