Some documents would be leaking much of the information about the Strix Point and Strix Halo APUswhich will give life to the Apu Ryzen with architecture “Zen 5”.
Strix Point and Strix Halo APU: Official specifications leaked
According to these newly revealed documents, the next AMD Strix Point and Strix Halo APUs would have up to a maximum of 16 cores and 32 threads with a 40 CU RDNA 3+ iGPU, 60 TOPS AI performance, support for LPDDR5X-8000 RAM.
The documentation would be “official” and would have been leaked online, also revealing details about the platform in general through a table of the two series, Strix Point and Strix Halo (Ryzen 9050).
Strix Point
This series would have up to 12 cores and 24 threads with an RDNA 3.5 (RDNA 3+) iGPU with 8 WGP. It has an XDNA2 drive with a performance of 50 TOPS. In addition, they confirm that the cache memory will be 12 MB L2 and 24 MB L3 cache. Memory support is LPDDR5-7500 and DDR5-5600. This series will combine Zen 5 and Zen 5C cores.
The TDP is between 45 and 65 W which can be configured up to 28 W.

Strix Halo
This series will correspond to high-end laptops, which will offer a maximum of 16 cores and 32 threads with an integrated 20 WGP RDNA 3+ graphics card. The XDNA2 will offer a performance of up to 50 TOPS. Total LPDDR5X-8000 memory support will be up to 256 bits. The cache memory is 1 MB L2 per core and 32 MB shared L3 cache. Additionally, the existence of the 32 MB MALL cache on board the IOD is being mentioned.
The TDP is 70 W (cTDP 55 W) and they will support maximum powers of up to 130 W.
What is expected amd is in the Computex 2024 presenting the series Ryzen 9050 “Strix Point”, which should reach the laptop segment during the second half of this year. We will keep you informed.
