Bloober Team, study of Layers of Fear and The Medium, works with Konami in the remake of Silent Hill 2 for PS5, PC and Steam Deck. And apart from that, it seems that the studio also allies itself with Take Two and Skybound in new IP.
The Polish studio has two unannounced games in development, one of them being “Project C“. This would be a new IP in joint development with Take-Two Interactiveeditors of GTA 5, GTA 6 and RD2.
The other would be “Project R“, one designed for 2025 and based on an IP from Skybound Entertainment. This has already been rumored and could be The Walking Dead as it is the company of Robert Kirkman, its creator.

It is clear that Bloober Team keeps those secrets under lock and key, but in their recent annual report – in which they also gave details of Silent Hill 2 Remake – they revealed a little about their plans in the future.
“Project C, on which we are working together with Private Division (Take-Two Interactive), is very advanced right now and we are very satisfied with the current progress“, they said in said report.
“This is going to be Bloober Team’s next big step to implement a long-term strategy. It will also be the first original project (IP that belongs to Bloober Team) as part of its new strategy“.
The report goes on to say and confirm that the game is going to be announced later this year, but that the team “can’t wait to show the effect [su] work on this unique title“.
Since 2021 we learned that the Polish development studio had a new game in production and another in pre-production… apparently not related to Silent Hill.
To this we must add that Bloober Team also announced a new game that will be developed by Draw Distance.
Now, what happens to the another game known as Project R? Well, that’s what we hope to be.”premiere” in 2025; Eurogamer is not clear if the date is its announcement or launch.
“The broadcaster concluded a licensing and publishing agreement with Skybound Game Studios on December 20, 2023. […] under which the broadcaster was granted a license to create a game based on an IP owned by Skybound.
This will be used as part of the production of the new project by the issuer codenamed Project R“, the Polish studio told its shareholders.
They recently updated Silent Hill 2 Remake to change James’ face and perhaps soon it will be seen in a new PlayStation Showcase or State of Play with news about the game.
At the moment, its recent description in the ESRB and the marketing campaign would already be paving the way a little towards what everyone is waiting to know: release date.
Nevertheless, Silent Hill 2 Remake is one of the worst kept secrets in the industry. Although we have only seen an official announcement in October 2022 and in a trailer during the State of Play in January.
Bloober Team works with Take-Two and Skybound on two games
Of course, PlayStation included the game along with Metal Gear Solid Delta among its titles this year and a surprise premiere for some special date is not ruled out.
We don’t know if they are doing all of this at the same time, yes. Konami prefers that they publish the remake of Silent Hill 2 first to then get on with other projects or the situation that the studio is experiencing.
