Google now has a tool that promises to significantly improve users’ English conversation skills. This feature, powered by artificial intelligence, offers the possibility of participating in interactive conversations that go beyond simply memorizing single phrases.
Since last year, the company has been working on this feature, and now it has started to provide access to it. With this tool, users will have the opportunity to practice, to practice the language, especially to acquire the ability to have fluid and natural conversations in English, an aspect that for many is the biggest challenge when interacting with English.
Known as “Speaking practice”, this function is the result of years of research and development applying artificial intelligence for language learning. Unlike traditional language learning tools that focus on vocabulary and grammar memorization, This feature focuses on practicing real conversational skills.
As reported by TechCrunch, Google is conducting tests of this feature in several countries, including Argentina, Colombia, India, Indonesia, Mexico and Venezuela. Users who are part of Google’s Search Labs program will have access to this featurewhich will allow them to experiment with new ways of learning English.
“Conversation Practice” works in a simple way. When accessing Google Search Labs from a mobile device, users can activate the “AI Experiments” feature and select the “Try with an example” option.
This will take them to a page where the AI will present them with a topic of conversation and will ask them to participate in a conversation in English using specific words.
For example, artificial intelligence could ask a question like, “What should I do if I want to get fit?” and ask the user to respond using keywords like “exercise,” “heart,” and “ tired” (tired).
This practice helps users become familiar with the correct use of words in different contexts and improve your ability to maintain fluent conversations in English.
Additionally, the “Conversation Practice” feature offers immediate feedback on the accuracy and clarity of the user’s responses, allowing them to correct errors and continually improve their skills.

Search Labs is not available for Google Workspace accounts, including Google Workspace for Education, only for personal profiles, as it is a space to access tests and initiatives that are in development. To enter the platform you must follow these steps:

- Tap the Labs icon in the upper left corner.
