LG Electronics (LG) introduced an exciting new feature on its smart TVs for users who enjoy streaming music. LG Smart TVs, including OLED and QNED models, are the first TVs to support Apple Music in Spatial Audio with Dolby Atmos.
Available this week, the innovative premium surround sound music experience captivates listeners with stunning sound and elevates audio pleasure to new dimensions.
To celebrate this notable milestone, LG is offering three months of free Apple Music to LG Smart TV users around the world. The 3-month free trial is available within the Apple Music app on compatible LG Smart TVs (2018 and later models) with webOS 4.0 and higher, as well as lifestyle display models StanbyME, StanbyME Go and MyView Smart Monitor.
Apple Music is an ad-free streaming service with a huge library that allows subscribers to listen to more than 100 million songs and 30,000 expertly curated playlists. Apple Music also features a range of exclusive content, including Apple Music Live, a concert series with live video streaming, a post-show video playback, albums recorded live in Spatial Audio, and exclusive interviews with artists before the show.
LG Smart TV users can effortlessly access Apple Music using voice commands in the LG Content Store, Apps or through the Music Quick Card on the home screen, which serves as a convenient portal for uninterrupted entertainment listening.
Spatial Audio further enriches the audio experience, delivering a high level of clarity and depth with multi-dimensional sound. Apple Music automatically plays Dolby Atmos tracks on compatible LG Smart TVs, and when paired with Dolby Atmos-enabled LG soundbar models, the same sound output is harmonized to immerse listeners in immersive sound. Additionally, there is no need to adjust the volume when switching to Dolby Atmos tracks, thanks to the implemented volume normalization algorithm.
Additionally, even on LG Smart TVs that do not support Dolby Atmos, users can enjoy the mesmerizing sound of Apple Music in Spatial Audio by connecting them to an LG Dolby Atmos sound bar. LG Smart TVs can also connect directly to Apple AirPods or other Apple devices via Bluetooth to enjoy the Dolby Atmos audio experience.
Songs and albums available in Dolby Atmos are clearly labeled in Apple Music with a badge on the album details page. Music lovers can easily explore their favorite songs available in Dolby Atmos with Apple Music’s wide range of curated playlists.
