Thus, after recently updating Google Files with a document scanning function, now a new leak reveals that the American giant’s file manager is already working to implement a useful new tool: an integrated PDF reader.

Google Files will have its own PDF reader

Recently, the well-known Android leaker AssembleDebug has shared a post on X, the social network formerly known as Twitter, in which he reveals that Google’s Files application is working to include a PDF document reader within it.

As you can see in the screenshots that we leave you below these lines, very soon when you open a PDF file from the Google Files app it will be shown in a new reader integrated within the application itself and not from another third-party tool such as the Google Drive PDF reader.

In addition, this new Google Files PDF reader will have a toolbar at the top with the name of the document and three buttons: one to share the PDF with whoever you want, another to add it to your list of favorite files and a third to access its options.

Likewise, at the bottom of the PDF file will be included two buttons with up and down arrow icons that will allow you to move between the pages of the document in a quick and easy way.

But this is not the only new feature that will come to the Google file manager soon, since, as you can see in the image we leave you above, Google Files will also renew its interface with some new cards for recent files that will be much more rounded than the current ones.
