Adobe has introduced the entire Lightroom family with the Generative Elimination enabled by Adobe Firefly. This new feature is now present in all versions of Lightroom: mobile, web and desktop. This new capability is now available as an early access feature by simply downloading the update that was made available to users earlier today.

Generative Removal is Lightroom’s most powerful removal tool to date. It offers the ability to non-destructively remove objects and distractions from any photo with a single click, with realistic results.

At the same time, Lightroom’s AI-powered ‘Lens Blur’ tool is now generally available with all new presets, allowing you to achieve aesthetic blur effects on any photo with a single click. Combined with Lightroom’s world-class photo editing tools, these latest features accelerate professionals’ most common workflows and give amateurs the ability to easily achieve results that previously required retouching knowledge and experience.

Photo editing for everyone

Access to ‘Generative Elimination’ It’s as easy for Lightroom users as cropping a photo or adding a preset. According to Adobe in a press release, ‘Generative Removal’ is useful for editing even the most complicated backgrounds and environments, such as removing stains from a printed shirt, wrinkles from a tablecloth in food photos, unwanted reflections in the water and much more.
