The industry is going through a period of instability that has resulted in waves of layoffs and study closures. No one has been saved from this unfortunate situation, not even large companies like sony and PlayStation.
Earlier this year, the companies announced the dismissal of 900 employees of its video game division and, in addition, they confirmed that London Studio had its days numbered. The closure of said studio is very close, so its members decided to say goodbye to the players with an emotional message.

London Studio says goodbye to its fans due to its closure
London Studio was founded in 2002 and is known by titles such as PlayStation VR Worlds, SingStar Celebration and Blood & Truth. Before its closure, it was working on a new IP for PlayStation 5 that was not revealed and that it will hardly see the light.
Months ago, fans lamented the news about its closure and complained to Sony for the dismissal of so many creatives. Now, London Studio decided to publish a special message on social networks to thank and say goodbye to the people who enjoyed their games.
“For over 20 years, London Studio has been home to some exceptionally talented and wonderful people in the games industry. As we close the doors, and all move on to new adventures, we wanted to say a sincere thank you, to all of our past and present players and colleagues who have supported us over the years. “We have had a wild and wonderful ride,” the studio wrote.
The fans were reciprocal and also thanked the studio for all their work. They stated that London Studio will always be part of PlayStation history and that its games helped create its DNA. Likewise, they recognized the great talent of their developers and creatives.
