Google activated one of the most productive functions for work in two more languages, Spanish and Portuguese, it is “Help me write”, an option that can be used in the next update of Gemini, the company’s artificial intelligence.

Workspace It is the umbrella of Google’s work products and now, with this feature, it will benefit more than a million users and companies in Latin America that use the plans Gemini for Workspace and Google One AI Premium.

This option uses the generative artificial intelligence of the language model Gemini to write and review texts, one of the most important advances that Google has had in recent months.

Users will be able to create new texts, review and edit existing ones, and receive contextual suggestions for specific needs with ‘help me write’.

This tool has been used to write emails, letters and reports, and will now be accessible in two additional languages.

Thus, according to Google, with “Help me write” you can ask Gemini:

  • Text writing: Gemini can help you create new text from scratch, whether it’s emails, letters or reports.
  • Review and editing of texts: Gemini can help you improve existing texts by suggesting revisions, rephrasing sentences, and adjusting tone or formality.
  • Suggestions based on context: Gemini can understand the context of your writing and provide suggestions tailored to your specific needs.

Google has also announced improvements to the mobile version of Workspace.

In Gmail mobileusers will be able to use generative artificial intelligence to summarize long email chains and receive detailed suggested responses.

In addition, the Contextual Smart Reply function will allow you to personalize the suggested responses before sending them, as Google warned at the I/O event that took place in the United States and where Infobae was present.

All these features will be available to users of Workspace Labs starting in July 2024.

Also, next July, a new Gemini icon will be integrated into the Gmail mobile application where Workspace Labs users will find useful query and order options for Gemini to respond to emails.

For example: “lists next steps” from certain emails; and a prompt box will also be added when you have more specific requests such as “What are discussion questions for my next book club meeting?”

Furthermore, the model Gemini 1.5 Pro will be integrated into products Google Workspace as Gmail, Docs, Drive, Presentations and Spreadsheets. This update, available from June 2024, will allow you to offer more precise and contextual responses, improving the writing and review experience.

Finally, to interact effectively with Gemini It is recommended to consider four main areas: person, task, context and format. Examples of requests include writing executive summaries in emails and inquiring about next steps or discussion questions for meetings.

Taking these words into account, you can, for example, write to Gemini:

“You are a Google Cloud project manager. Write an executive summary in an email to [persona] based on [detalles sobre los documentos relevantes del proyecto]. Create it in bullet points.”

Other tips to start using Gemini with Workspace:

  1. Use natural language. Write as if you were talking to another person. Express complete thoughts in complete sentences.
  2. Be specific. Tell Gemini for Workspace what you need it to do (summarize, write, change tone, create). Provide as much context as possible.
  3. Be concise and avoid complexity. Express your request in brief but specific language. Avoid jargon.
  4. Turn it into a conversation. Use follow-up prompts to fine-tune and improve Gemini’s response.
