The recently presented Google Pixel 8a already has its score in DXOMark. And despite the improvements that Google has provided to the phone, it continues to obtain results that could be classified as improvable in the ranking.

Google Pixel 8a gets a silver seal at DXOMark for its camera

DXOMARK highlights the Google Pixel 8a’s ability to reproduce vivid, natural colors in both photos and video, good detail at most zoom settings. In addition, it has fast and accurate autofocus in photos, good portrait representation, wide depth of field and wide dynamic range.

Among the things that can be classified as disadvantages, there is only the limited zoom capacity of the equipment. This is something to be expected, since the device does not have a dedicated telephoto lens like its older brother.

Anyway, the video stabilization is good. Pleasant colors and a correct white balance are also noticeable. The smartphone has taken 34th place in the ranking, on par with equipment like the Xiaomi 13 Pro from last year.

September will surely bring us the Pixel 9 series, and when it makes its debut, we will have better news regarding DXOMark and Google phones.
