ZEISS CinCraft Scenario Software 2.0 Expands Compatibility with Broadcast Environments

The Zeiss CinCraft Scenario Camera Tracking System provides camera tracking data for use in real-time rendering engines for virtual production or live AR/XR, as well as allowing the user to record tracking data for post-production.

Although initially limited to the Zeiss world and fictional environments, it expands its reach through a version 2.0 that offers users templates for more than 90 lenses from more than ten series. This new solution includes: templates for select cine lenses from ARRI, Cooke, Angenieux, Leitz and Fujinon; in glasses broadcast: Canon and Fujinon, now available. All available goal templates can be selected in the software at no cost, and more will be added gradually over the coming months.

“Until now, CinCraft Scenario has only been used by productions working with Zeiss and ARRI/Zeiss lenses. With this release, we are making our camera tracking system available to many more users, including broadcasters” commented Christophe Casenave, head of film products at Zeiss.

CinCraft Scenario version 2.0 also integrates the new Target Template Tuner. With this solution, users will be able to adjust these templates to the specific characteristics of the objectives used in the corresponding project. In this way, they will be able to eliminate the complexity that is usually associated with lens calibration. Additionally, CinCraft Scenario 2.0 allows users to load and adjust lens calibrations previously created with Ncam Reality.
