Despite having been released recently, the South Korean developer studio Shift Up released patch 1.003 for Stellar Blade. This patch includes a new game mode and skins for the main character. Although the title generated controversy before its launch, it has already established itself in several markets, especially in Japan.

The latest update introduces the mode Boss Challenge, where players can take on the game’s 19 bosses. However, to challenge each one, they must first defeat them in the main campaign, as explained Kim Hyung Taethe game director, on the official blog of PlayStation. In addition, after having finished the game, users looking for a greater challenge can face their rivals at their highest difficulty.

By accessing this mode, the user can select the team they used in the campaign or choose from some of the presets. However, the game director expresses that there are several ways to carry out the challenge: “choose the minimum preset for a real challenge, which is extremely low-key, or the maximum preset, which has all your skills and stats boosted, if you want to taunt the boss with spectacular combat”.

Once players defeat a boss, they will receive a detailed report of their statistics on screen, including battle time, successful counterattacks, consumable usage, and other relevant data. In this way, players will be able to compare their data with friends to see who best masters the art of attacking and surviving in Stellar Blade.

On the other hand, each achievement has its reward, since by defeating all the bosses in Boss Challenge On Normal difficulty or higher, players will receive the Neurolink suit for Eve, the protagonist. However, it is not the only thing that will be added to this update, since the skins White Kunoichi and Black Kunoichi.

This patch, in addition to a new mode and the just mentioned skins, features several improvements and adjustments to the game. For example, the option to always display the compass in the map interface was included and the ranged attack mode when aiming at an enemy was improved, locking onto its target despite changing weapons.
