The community believes that it will be impossible to get rid of spoilers for those who buy the Ultimate Edition, which offers part of the title 2 weeks in advance
There are many surprises that have occurred during the recent Xbox Games Showcase 2024and Life is Strange: Double Exposure is one of them. After all, we are talking about a saga that returns also recovering its most beloved protagonist; fact that the community has celebrated in style. Unfortunately, the general celebration ended when the incentives of the Ultimate Edition were revealed: various cosmetics, an additional mission about cats and 2 week early access prior to launch.
Players were not surprised to see that Square Enix chose to follow the trend of early access in video games, as more and more companies are opting for this model. However, many have been outraged to learn that players who pay 79.99 euros (29.99 euros difference compared to the standard version) will be able to access the game for 2 full weeks (via Eurogamer). In fact, it is important to note here that Ultimate Edition users will not have full access to the game; only to Chapters 1 and 2. Despite this detail, there are already Reddit users who call Square Enix’s idea “a really disgusting move” (bobotheklown) and consider that “People will tear this game down 100% selfishly for those who haven’t played it yet” (-vonKarma). It should be noted, however, that the criticism is not forming a massive movement and, therefore, it is unlikely that Final Fantasy owners will change their minds.
What will Life is Strange: Double Exposure be about?
Because there are many who have been excited to know that Max will return as the protagonist of an installment of Life is Strange. And, as is usual in the saga, this young woman will once again give us an adventure of mysterious crimes, unique powers and a plot line that seeks to surprise all fans of the franchise. Life is Strange: Double Exposure is scheduled to launch on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series next October 29th.
