Vessel of Hatred, scheduled for release on October 10, will debut the Spiritborn class

The Xbox Games Showcase 2024 has confirmed, among many other things, a definitive release date for Vessel of Hatredthe expected expansion of Diablo IV. This content will expand the number of classes available in the ARPG by adding a completely new option that, with the name of Spiritborn, seeks to transform players into jungle predators. And what about the Paladin, an alternative that fans have requested for months? There is still no news that Blizzard intends to add this holy knight to its game, and the decision is due to the same characteristics of Vessel of Hatred.

Rod Fergusson, head of the Diablo franchise, gave an interview to GamesRadar+ that goes a little deeper into this topic. Because there are many users who want to visit the Sanctuary with a Paladin, but this class was not in Vessel of Hatred’s plans for one reason: “I’m excited, but we heard too loud [las peticiones] of the sword and shield Paladin, fantasy crusader, which we are not fulfilling, but we wanted an opportunity to do something that was based on the region we added“.

“We wanted do something new that was creatively interesting and it will simply include a new experience. So yes, we are excited to delve into it in July,” concludes Fergusson. And, taking into account that the launch of Vessel of Hatred is several months away (with a release date set for October 10), everything points to Because Blizzard will continue to reveal details of its Spiritborn with additional Paladin events, therefore, no news is expected.

What new features will be included with Vessel of Hatred?

As we said, the community will receive more details about Vessel of Hatred in the coming weeks. What we know so far, as shared by Blizzard, is that players will face never-before-seen challenges in completely new locations: “Travel to the new region of Nahantu searching for Neyrelle, who is suffering the fate of her choice to imprison the First Evil Mephisto, and seeking a means to destroy him. Become the ultimate predator of the jungle with the new Spiritborn class. Recruit mercenaries to help you in combat, fight together in a new PvE cooperative activity and much more,” reads the description of the trailer presented at the Xbox Games Showcase 2024.
