Monolith Productions continues work on open-world action-adventure game

In a year overshadowed by the failure of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, Warner Bros. Games is not offering Wonder Woman newsa game developed by Monolith Productions, known for Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor and its sequel Shadow of War. Since its announcement in December 2021, it has only been made official that it is not a game as a service, although after a leaked image, now a ton of details are leaking.

A supposed online survey has provided some story and gameplay details apparently new ones that seem to be true after the conceptual art images that accompanied them have been “removed in response to a report from the copyright holder,” as reported by the @WWGameUpdates account on the X social network.

According to the synopsis, the action-adventure game starring Wonder Woman will launch when the powerful sorceress Circe invades the island Themyscira leading an army of cyclops, gorgons and other monsters. It will be up to the superhero, as Champion of the Amazons, to return home and fight against her betrayal.

Players must use divine strength to deliver devastating blows and tear through enemies in an epic battle to protect the place from invaders through Fast-paced, fluid combat with devastating combos in which you can use powerful weapons gifted by the gods, including the iconic Lasso of Truth.

As this original story unfolds, Wonder Woman will be able to repair her relationship with her motherQueen Hippolyta, and her Amazon companions, who feel betrayed by their decision to leave Themyscira many years ago. Throughout the game, they will appear more iconic DC charactersas well as a unique cast of procedurally generated allies and enemies.

The Nemesis System returns

Another fact to highlight is the return of the Nemesis System created in the Middle Earth games. In Wonder Woman, she will remember choices and actions and react according to her own beliefs. Ultimately, the title will present an open world of Themyscira in which you can explore the home of the Amazons and discover mythical inhabitants from Greek mythology.

Wonder Woman, in development for PS5, Xbox One and PCdoes not have a launch window, although it will invite you to fight against the invaders throughout an adventure full of surprises once the right time arrives.
