Rubius loses thousands of euros on his first day playing the Elden Ring DLC

TOWe’re only two days into ‘Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree’, and we’re already more than clear that it’s being a tough experience to overcome due to its difficulty, but some are handling it worse than others. And this is the case of El Rubius, who announced before starting to play the DLC that he would give away €100 every time he died.

This challenge already felt like madness as soon as it came out of the creator’s own mouth, since the difficulty of the game is well known, in which it is key to memorize the mechanics and timing of the final bossess. Well, after just the first day, it seems even crazier that ElRubius maintains this challenge until the end of the DLC.

Rubius loses €5,000 on his first day in the Elden Ring DLC

At the beginning of the stream, the creator made it clear that he wanted to see how this challenge worked on the first day of DLC, since he doesn’t want to break the bank either. “My goal is to do it with all the DLC, but I have always said that I was going to do it today and that if I saw that I lost €10,000 in two hours, I would withdraw“commented Rubius himself.

After more than eight hours of live testing the game and many deaths in both ‘Knight of Solitude’ and ‘Rellana, Knight of the Twin Moon’, ElRubius closed the stream showing the figures he had spent throughout the entire live . Finally, with each death, the streamer spun a roulette wheel in which there were three options: give away €100, give away 10 ‘subs’ and save yourself. Throughout Rubius’s no less than 68 deaths, he only managed to save himself in 6so he had to ‘spend’ a lot of money.

Up to thirty times he had to pay €100, while on thirty-two occasions he had to pay the 10 subs, which is equivalent to about €40. In total, the streamer dropped around €5,000 in just his first day playing ‘Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree’, and despite this, he commented that the challenge was not over, and that he would continue with it in the next live sessions.

Despite losing so much money, the creator himself commented that the stream had been ‘the best content of the year’ and that it would continue forward as long as this hype and this chat support during live shows.
