For several weeks, rumors have been swirling about Samsung Galaxy’s upcoming Unpacked event. But now, it seems that we finally know the date of this year’s Unpacked for sure. The event will take place against the backdrop of preparations for the Summer Olympic Games, which begin on July 26. As an official sponsor of the Olympics, Samsung is keen to capitalize on its association with the high-profile sporting event to create a lot of awareness and visibility of its new products among Olympic fans around the world.
Although Samsung has not officially announced the date of its second Unpacked event in 2024, we now have a semi-official tip on when it will take place thanks to mobiel.nlun, a Dutch website that has shared a teaser of an upcoming marketing campaign (which includes an offer as well as a chance to win a Harman Kardon speaker). This teaser reveals everything quite unequivocally: the date, July 10, and a group of stars hiding in plain sight.
The expected lineup
Samsung will launch numerous new products during its upcoming Unpacked event. Here is a list of what to expect from the Korean company this time:
- galaxy ZFlip6: A new version of Samsung’s popular foldable phone (currently $849 on Amazon.com) with expected improvements in durability, visual design and functionality.
- Galaxy Z Fold6: An evolution of the pioneering foldable phone, which will likely come with improvements to screen technology and an increase in performance.
- Galaxy Watch7 : A new smartwatch from Samsung with advanced health monitoring features and greater integration with other Galaxy devices.
- Galaxy Watch Ultra: This is supposedly a higher-end variant of the standard Galaxy Watch, which is said to be designed to rival Apple’s high-end Watch Ultra. It may be equipped with superior materials and unique features.
- Galaxy Buds3: The latest addition to Samsung’s range of wireless headphones will offer higher quality sound and noise cancellation technology.
- Galaxy Ring: This smart ring, intended for monitoring health and fitness, is the new entrant to the world of wearables, marking Samsung’s expansion plans in this booming market segment.
Revealing the leaks, one by one
The mobiel.nl teaser is by no means the first leak pointing to July 10. Well-known leaker Evan Blass has already posted an image of a countdown timer that ends on July 10 at 10 PM KST. That translates as

A look at January’s Unpacked event
Samsung held its first Unpacked event of this year on January 17, where it presented new models of its flagship phone series: the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+ and the Galaxy S24 Ultra. They come with a set of AI features called Galaxy AI with the aim of greatly improving the user experience and thus achieving more sales.
