Apple’s iPhone shipments in China saw a 40% increase in Maydriven by a strong discount campaign.

While this growth represents a significant improvement compared to previous declines, it remains below the pace of growth of the previous month.

Despite this slowdown, foreign smartphone shipments overall rose more than 13%, with Apple and other foreign brands accounting for nearly four times the growth of domestic brands.

The recovery in iPhone sales began around March, when Apple and its Chinese resellers began a price reduction strategy that extended until the June 18 event.

The rebound is crucial for Apple, as the company had been facing double-digit sales declines due to increasing competition from Huawei, which is approaching one billion devices running its in-house operating system.
