The HMD Skyline has not yet been officially presented by the company, but the successor is already taking shape, it is the Skyline G2. This phone reminds us a lot of models like the Lumia 1020, or the Lumia 1030 itself, which was its successor.
The spirit of the Lumia 1030 will live on in the HMD Skyline G2
So over at X, a designer under the name @smashx_60 has been leaking a generous amount of HMD-related information. One of his latest leaks reveals that HMD could be working on a second Skyline phone called the HMD Skyline G2.
It’s unclear if this second device is intended to be a successor to the other leaked Skyline or something else. Like the Skyline, the G2 will have a triple camera setup. It is said that the details of the camera are not yet fully known, but the insider offers some possible specifications.
Specifically, we would be looking at an arrangement of 4 sensors. A 108MP main sensor, a 12MP tele lens, an 8MP wide angle and a ToF sensor. TThey also mention that HMD wants the G2 to appeal to photographers.
Unlike the Skyline, which had everything from specs to pricing leaked, it looks like we’ll have to wait a little longer to find out more about this one.
