Xiaomi has surprise launched a new and important HyperOS update. So much so that they have named it HyperOS 1.5since in addition to adding new features and correcting certain errors, greatly improves system performance and fluidity.
HyperOS 1.5 has just been released in China as an intermediate version that also prepares us for the arrival of HyperOS 2.0. In addition, it becomes one of the most complete intermediate updates that Xiaomi has launched since MIUI 12.5.
HyperOS 1.5 news and the first mobile phones to be updated
Just as we told you, HyperOS 1.5 has started rolling out in China and it has done so along with a wide list of improvements. In addition, applications such as Notes, Clock and Calculator have received important new features, improving not only their operation, but also implementing new functionalities.
As we can see in the image above, corresponding to the update to HyperOS 1.5 for the Xiaomi 14 Pro, this new version adds a fairly long changelog, although much of the news focuses on system improvements, increasing its performance and generally improving fluidity. In general terms, HyperOS 1.5 brings with it all these changes:

- Optimization in animations to reduce the delay in starting applications.
- Optimization in the use of resources by system applications.
- Memory usage optimization.
- Improvements in system fluidity.
- Bugs with notifications that caused restarts are fixed.

- Small bugs are fixed and performance is improved.
- Calculator:
- Key sensitivity has been optimized.
- Gallery:
- Optimization in video playback, improving the fluidity of the player itself.
- Optimization of the loading time of the preview of photos and videos.
- Minor bug fixes and overall performance improvements.
- File manager:
- Optimized the speed of loading the file list.
- travel assistant:
- A new travel assistant has been added that can provide us with information regarding a plane or train ticket.
- Security, Status bar, Notification bar:
- Minor bugs have been fixed and overall performance has been optimized.
As we can see, the list of changes is quite extensive, althoughIn general terms it represents an important optimization of the system, improving its performance and fluidity. Of course, HyperOS 1.5 has only arrived through the Chinese ROM, and it will likely take a few weeks to appear in the Global and European ROM.
For now HyperOS 1.5 has landed on the Xiaomi 14, Xiaomi 14 Pro, Xiaomi 14 Ultra and Redmi K60 Ultraalthough it is expected to reach other smartphones, especially those in the high-end and mid-high-end range. Let us remember that this is an intermediate version, and it is very likely that, as happened with MIUI 12.5, not all models that eventually receive HyperOS 2.0 will also receive HyperOS 1.5.
