Tigers throw no-hitter in win over Lehman – Examiner Online

Peyton Hull and Isaac Sertell combined for a no-hitter as West Liberty-Salem blanked visiting Lehman Catholic 4-0 in a non-league baseball game Wednesday.

The Tigers are now 1-1 on the season. Hull struck out four in three hitless innings and Sertell also recorded four strikeouts in his four innings of hitless relief.

Offensively for the Tigers, Sam Lauck and Sertell each had two hits and an RBI. Jeremiah Johnson also had an RBI. The Tigers scored twice in the first inning and added a pair of insurance runs in the sixth inning.

WL-S is back in action Monday at home against Triad.

Indian Lake edges Kenton 2-1

Indian Lake’s baseball team opened the season with a 2-1 win over host Kenton in non-league action Wednesday.

Kenton took a 1-0 lead in the first inning before the Lakers tied the game with a run in the second inning.

Indian Lake scored the go-ahead run in the fourth frame. Burke Lillard went the distance on the mound to get the win. He allowed six hits, struck out eight and did not walk a batter.

Offensively for the Lakers, Bryce Burton went 3-3 with a double to lead the way.

The Lakers are back in action Friday at Urbana.
