New Delhi: A fire incident occurred at a residential building in northwest Delhi’s Rohini, resulting in minor burn injuries to three individuals, including a firefighter. The fire department carried out a rescue operation, which lasted for three hours, using ladders to safely evacuate two individuals from the building. The fire department received a call at 6:05 am from an apartment in Rohini Sector-14. The fire was controlled by around 9:15 am. Atul Garg, director of Delhi Fire Services (DFS), said the fire originated in the kitchen and involved domestic items in a duplex that spanned the third and fourth floors. “Two people were rescued by DFS and taken to the hospital. Both of them sustained minor burn injuries,” he said. The official stated that two individuals sustained injuries amounting to 10 percent of their bodies, while a firefighter also suffered injuries during the rescue efforts. A video of the rescue operation shows firefighters placing a ladder and taking out the people. The reason behind the fire will be investigated.
