Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Saudi Arabia, the added 1.13%.

The best performers of the session on the were MBC Group CJSC (TADAWUL:), which rose 9.85% or 4.85 points to trade at 54.10 at the close. Meanwhile, Al Baha Investment and Development Company SJSC (TADAWUL:) added 7.69% or 0.01 points to end at 0.14 and Saudi Paper Manufacturing Co. (TADAWUL:) was up 7.14% or 5.00 points to 75.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Saudi Steel Pipe Company (TADAWUL:), which fell 9.28% or 8.00 points to trade at 78.20 at the close. CHUBB Arabia Cooperative Insurance (TADAWUL:) declined 4.23% or 1.50 points to end at 33.95 and Riyadh Cables Group Company CJSC (TADAWUL:) was down 4.03% or 3.90 points to 92.80.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 198 to 94 and 17 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for June delivery was down 0.68% or 0.57 to $83.28 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.59% or 0.52 to hit $87.69 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.29% or 6.75 to trade at $2,340.45 a troy ounce.

EUR/SAR was up 0.26% to 4.02, while USD/SAR unchanged 0.01% to 3.75.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.16% at 105.64.
