Escape from Tarkov creator retracts after player discontent and announces that it will not be necessary to pay an extra $250 to access the PvE mode

Escape from Tarkov, a highly anticipated PC game that has yet to see its official release has sparked a debate among players due to a recent decision by the developers.

Recently, B.S.G. announced a special edition known as “The Unheard Edition”which has a price of $250 dollars and promised Exclusive access to PvE cooperative mode for six months. However, this news sparked an angry reaction among the gaming community, prompting BSG director Nikita Buyanov to address concerns raised on Reddit.

You can read: “Escape From Tarkov players demand a $250 “Pay to Win” Edition to access the PVE and the developer responds “that no one is forced to buy it””

Although he initially resisted extending access to the PvE mode to owners of the edition “Edge of Darkness”, Buyanov explained the technical limitations that prevented such expansion and clarified that the PvE mode was not considered downloadable content (DLC), but rather an integral part of the game with its own server infrastructure, but this did not calm any of the users.

In a new thread, Buyanov admitted that the team did not anticipate this reaction and was forced to respond to growing criticism on the subreddit, where users were expressing their displeasure with BSG’s management of the game.

“I did not foresee such a reaction and now I have drawn conclusions for my future decisions,” said the person responsible for the study.

In an attempt to calm the community’s spirits, Buyanov finally announced that buyers of the “Edge of Darkness” edition will also have access to the cooperative PvE mode after the game’s launch, although in a staggered manner due to server capacity limitations to support more players.

Nikita also announced that it has been decided to add MOD support to PvE mode after game launch. Regarding the edition “Unheard”it has been determined that will not be removedkeeping it as an option for those who wish to support the game more, however, We will seek to balance the articles and advantages included in this editionin addition to providing more rewards for those who purchased it at the previous price.
