A West Plains man has been seriously injured following a single-vehicle crash in Howell County Tuesday afternoon at 3:40. The incident occurred six miles west of West Plains on Missouri Highway 14.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s incident report, 29-year-old Kary Downs swerved to avoid an animal, when he traveled off the right side of the roadway, attempting to return to the direction of travel when he crossed the center line and struck a tree on the left side of the roadway
The report states downs sustains serious injuries but refused medical treatment.
