Tragic Death on Field: 11-Year-Old Pune Boy Collapses After Cricket Ball Hits Genitals

Tragedy struck after an 11-year-old boy from Maharashtra’s Pune lost his life after being hit by a ball on his genitals while playing cricket with his friends.

The deceased boy has been identified as Shambhu Kalidas Khandve alias Shaurya. He was enjoying a game of cricket with his friends during summer vacations.

During the match, Shaurya was playing as a bowler, when he was hit by a powerful strike from the batter, which landed directly on his genitals. The impact was so severe that Shaurya immediately collapsed on the ground, writhing in excruciating pain.

Shocked by his sudden collapse, Shaurya’s friends immediately rushed to his aid but failed to revive him. The bystanders then took the boy to the hospital where he was declared dead shortly after arrival.

A case of accidental death was filed in the matter.

Last month, two children including a 14-year-old boy died due to a suspected sudden cardiac arrest in Gujarat’s Rajkot.

The boy Renish Nakani was playing cricket near his house in the Laxmi Narayan Society in the Vavdi area when he collapsed suddenly. He was taken to the civil hospital in an unconscious condition but doctors declared him dead on admission.
