On Tuesday at 4:07 am a coastal flood advisory was issued by the National Weather Service valid from 10 pm until Wednesday 2 am for Salem County.
The weather service adds, “Up to one half foot of flooding above ground level expected in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways.”
“At this level, flooding begins on the most vulnerable roads along tidal waterways. Some partial or full road closures are possible,” explains the weather service. “If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of unknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone property.”
