Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band are set to play UPMC Nowlan Park, Kilkenny on Sunday, May 12.

Prices for accommodation in the area are on the pricey side.

The price for a two-person room varies from €270 to €479 for the night of 12 May, in the 5km area surrounding the venue, according to Booking.com.

One room for two at a local B&B usually costs €120 per night, but on May 12, you will see patrons paying €350 per night. This is a 191% increase.

According to Airbnb, rooms are harder to come by on May 12.

A room in a home, sharing with the landlord, will set patrons back €587 on the night, while a six-bed townhouse will cost a whopping €4,225 for the night.

This extraordinary price includes a cleaning fee and the website’s service charge. The same townhouse costs €1,702 for Sunday, May 19, just one week after the concert. This is a 148% increase.
