WBCHSE HS 12th Result 2024: The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) today (May 8) announced the uccha madhyamik results in a press conference at 1 pm. The scorecard link will be activated at 3 pm at wbchse.wb.gov.in or at wbresults.nic.in.

As per the calendar announced by WBCHSE, the West Bengal Class 12 exams for next year will be held between March 3 and March 18, 2025.

Last year, a total of 8,52,444 students enrolled for the Uchha Madhyamik exam out of which total 8,24,891 students appeared in the exam. Out of this, total 7,37,807 students cleared the HS exam. Keeping up with the 2022 tradition, boys outperformed girls by getting 91.86 per cent as the pass percentage, while girls got 87.26 per cent. Subhrangsu Sardar from Narendrapur Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya in South 24 Parganas district had topped the HS 2023 exams by scoring 496 marks out of total 500 marks (99.2 per cent). The results were announced by the WBCHSE president Chiranjib Bhattacharya.

The pass percentage among students belonging to minority communities in 203 was 87.58 per cent while the same for students belonging to SC/ST communities was 87.75 per cent.

Meanwhile, WBCHSE has announced the implementation of a semester system for class 11 from the current academic session (2024-25) and for class 12 from the 2025-26 academic session in all state-run and state-aided schools. As per the official notice, board exams will be conducted after completing semesters 3 and 4.

The Board has also suggested introduction of a warm-up course for Class 10 students interested in pursuing the new Applied Artificial Intelligence and Cyber ​​Security subjects in the higher secondary curriculum.
