With balance of 8 people injuredamong these two minors and 2 older adults, early this Wednesday the explosion of an LP gas cylinder was recorded, followed by a fire inside a house located in the Nueva San Isidro neighborhood, municipality of Chalco.

Minutes after one in the morning, a phone call to the municipal command center alerted the authorities that an incident had occurred. burst in a two-level house located on Alcanfores street, private corner number 2.

A resident of the site indicated that they heard a loud explosion followed by the window and wall vibration of their homes. When they left their homes, they noticed that from inside one of the houses on the street there was smoke due to a fire and the façade was completely destroyed.

Elements from the Secretariat of Security of the State of Mexico arrived at the property (SSEM) and the Municipal Police, who cordoned off the place to allow the passage of the emergency units and prevent the curious from approaching.

Paramedics of Civil Protection (PC) and the Mexican Red Cross (CRM) gave first aid to the inhabitants of the property, 2 men, 4 women and 2 minors, whose identities were withheld. Among the injured, two older adults, aged 72 and 68, due to the severity of their injuries, were transferred to the specialty hospital of the municipality of Ixtapaluca; another woman was transferred to
Chalco Regional Hospital for evaluation.

The preliminary report of the vulcans indicates that the explosion, apparently caused by a gas leak of a metal cylinder, caused structural damage important to housing. Apparently the residents were inside the property at the time of the explosion; No human losses were reported.
