In the municipality of Jamundi, Cauca’s Valleyan attack has been reported against the Public force. The Mayor’s Office Jamundi issued a statement expressing its rejection of any act of violence against the population and ensuring that local authorities are collaborating closely with the authorities to clarify the incident. So far, the attack has not been attributed to any specific group.

This incident adds to the escalation of violence that occurred on April 5, when the Central General Staff (EMC) of the dissidents carried out attacks in several municipalities in southwestern Colombia, including Jamundí.
