Also among the deceased was Iranian Foreign Affairs Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahianwho was also aboard the aircraft that crashed in a mountainous area of ​​Iran due to bad weather.

“Peru mourns the death of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi, his Foreign Affairs Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, and other members of his entourage in the fatal accident,” the ministry expressed via X (formerly Twitter).

“It also expresses its deepest condolences to the Government and the Iranian people,” the government agency added.

Various political leaders worldwide have mourned the death of Raisi.

Additionally, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has declared five days of national mourning due to the tragedy.
