Contemporary dance staging that will premiere on May 25 in the Sergio Galindo auditorium at the House of Culture

Sonora Art Village: An escape in the middle of the desert” is a construction site contemporary dance, carried out with the support of the Program of Stimuli for Artistic Creation and Development (PECDA) 2023.

The setting is inspired by a virtual village of colorful houses created by architects Davit and Mary Jilavyan.

This village of houses aims to be an escape in the middle of the desert, a simple but unusual space, where guests can experience an explosion of emotions in an atmosphere of tranquility.

Their “imaginary” homes represent a space free of prejudice, racism, sexism and humiliation. The premiere will take place this Saturday, May 25 in the auditorium Sergio Galindo from the House of Culture, with performances at 5:00 and 6:30 pm totally free.

The choreography of the construction site It is directed by “César Díaz”, who is originally from Cd. Obregón, Sonora and current director of the company “CERO: Choreographic Workshop”.

The team is also made up of Judith Castro, Helen Valdez, Ninette Franco and Christian Osorio Ruiz, who give life to the construction site with his performance on stage.

Within the functions the public will be able to see a documentary of the creative process of the construction sitea dance video recorded in desert landscapes that characterize our region and the construction site choreography resulting from the project.
